    <description>If the system/drive is under maintenance with HP, place a service call and get them to replace drive. The drive is had it. Depending on the model, you could get it replaced with out a shutdown.</description>

      <description>Hi guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is my first question in this forum.My HP-9000 system DAT drive getting stop working.The problem is the DAT get struck in while taking bakup and then the LED on DAT drive also stops glowing,Then i am restarting the system again its start working.Now this problem accuring frequently.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please kindly anybody advice me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ravikanth</description>

      <description>Ravikanth,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would agree with Michael entirely. Its sounds like the drive is shot especially if the leds are being extinguished, though this could be an internal cabling issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Either way its Stick a fork in it - its done as they say !
