Hi,

Is there a tool that can be used to test the 12/24 DAT drive in an older Proliant 1600 running Netware 5?

When I start BackupExec, I am getting an error stating that the drive could not be mounted. How can I test to verify if the problem is the drive or the SCSI controller?

Thanks.

If you have the F10 partition installed including diagnostics, run diagnostics, choose scsi contr and here you can do a tapedrive test. You can also download the diagnostics diskettes. LTT is also available for Netware.

Goos luck

Leon
