I already asked to upgrade firmware to HP18 but HP said me that I need also to upgrade CommandView. For this, I wrote this message!

High-perf was set after some performance problems when I had HP13 firmware. Peraphs now I could live without it. Can I change it or do I need HP assistance?
Hi,
I'd like to download latest release of CommandViewSDM but Web site says that it is available only under www.itrc.hp.com->SoftwareUpdateManager(SUM).
Even I linked all my system-handle/warranties to my userid, I'm not able to see CommandView under SUM.
Any help?

Thanks
Dominico,
you can simpy call HP and ask to send you latest software products you have licence for - Command View SDM, AutoPath VA, etc.
If you would post here your disk array's model and diagnostic output ('armdsp -a' for VA7xx0) then I will be able to tell you what can be done in addition to upgrading CV SDM
Eugeny

You can ask them to update firmware to HP18.
Please check if you really need high perf resilency mode. In this mode maps are flushed to disks only on correct shutdown. I would use normal perfomance mode when maps are written every 4 seconds
Eugeny

Yes, you should set it to normal. Command is 'armmgr -J'.
Generally HP16 is quite good firmware, but HP18 has some reliability improvements, that's why it's recommended to upgrade
Eugeny
