Hello,

I'd like to know what HP or third party PCI RAID controllers are supported by HPUX 11.11 or later on J5000. Also, where can I get drivers for it.

Installing RAID adapters in J5000 is not supported, but can work :)

Hi Alex,
if you want a supported RAID solution on J5000 you can buy a PCI FC controller A6795A and msa1000 disk array. A6795A FC controller is supported on J5000, see doc:

msa1000 is external disk array and is very cheap. see link:

Hi,

If you are interested in third party RAID controllers you should look for external RAID controllers, I don't belive there is any 3-party internal RAID controller that will work with HP-UX.

There is several vendors of such cheap "OS-independent" RAID controllers on the market, ex:
http://www.easyraid.com
http://www.fibrenetix.com

HP-UX will see a such device just as any ordinary SCSI disk and don't need any propritary driver to use it.

Or Adaptec, since they are supplting to HP now
