Dear users,

Recently I have seen some "Tamper Evident Seals" on the external packing (box) of HPE Hard Disk Drives. I put them here, and I want you to give your opinion about these Labels that whether they are counterfeit Labels or just new and original Labels from HPE?

And another complain of HPE, why there is not any "easy to find" section for useres in your website to show and tell the security tips about original and fake products, new version of Seurity Labels and other issues about Verfication of products, especially HDD and Memory modules.

Yes, I've found the given links.

But the second problem is that, the HDD inside the box is original and genuine. and according to: https://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=447330&docId=emr_na-c00832103&docLocale=en_US , HPE have used the old "Green check mark" security label till Dec 2015 (only): "

June 2011
through
December 2015

1. Security strip has holographic medallions which switch from HP to to OK and fade to transparent.

2. Three lines of different sized OK text and will fade away (largest alternately to medallions).

3. Color bar has green to Pale Purple color in different lighting.

"

While I ecountered with some HDD that was produced and packed in Sep 2016 and still using the old "Green check mark" security stricker on the HDD, as shown in the following:

It is really complicated!

Dear users,

These labels are new security labels from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. They have been introduced end of 2016. The two website links below are now up-to-date with these new labels:

For HDD/SSD: http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c00832103&lang=en-us&cc=us

For Memory: http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=243739&docId=emr_na-c00691020&docLocale=en_US

If you have any authentication requests for HDD, SSD or Memory, you can use and send an email to hardware.counterfeitvalidation@hpe.com .

Best regards,
