Hi,

I am trying to get a shutdown script to work with the HPE Power Protector connected to a USB R1500 UPS

We have a ESXI host connected to this ups.

The UPS is plug into a Windows Computer Via USB

The scipt itself seems to working fine if I manually run it. It will start the power off of the UPS , and will gracefully shutdown the host and any VMs its running

But when I try to use the Script Function in the HPE PowerProtector it does not seem to work. It just shutsdown the ups without running the script casuing my host to power off suddently without properly shutting down the VMs

Hi,

I have looked at that but unforturnelty it did not help as

1 - I am using a windows pc

2 - the ups does not have the network module and is plugged in via usb to the windows pc

So not sure why its not allowing the script to run on the windows machine? as it works if I manually test the script outside of HP PowerProtector

Hi,

Unfortunatly, that still does not help. as that seems to be for shutting down a server that the ups is hooked up to and not as in my case a seperate ESXI host.

Machine 1 - Windows with HP Power Protector, and ups plugged in via usb, trying to get script to work --- script works manually but not from HPPP ---

Machine 2 - ESXI Host. The one I am trying to gracefully shutdown.
