HP Microserver Gen8 ERROR - Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception

Hi everyone.

After an strange restart (I wasn't, it was the machine by its own) I have an strange error in the IML:

Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (Board 0, Processor 1, APIC ID 0x00000004, Bank 0x00000003, Status 0xBE000000'00800400, Address 0x00003804'76EFBCE0, Misc 0x00000000'0003FFFF)

And another one:

PCI Bus Error (Slot 1, Bus 0, Device 1, Function 0)

And another one:

Unrecoverable System Error (NMI) has occurred. System Firmware will log additional details in a separate IML entry if possible

Could anyone help me with it?

EDIT: NEW ERROR

¿¿Is everything gonna fail?? OMG....

Hi,

It could be happening from the Component on the location : PCI Bus Error (Slot 1, Bus 0, Device 1, Function 0)

> Please check what is installed on this Slot and location.

> Update the Firmware and Driver of the Component

> Along with this update the BIOS and iLO as well which will help in fixing most of the issues and or help us to get more diagnostics data further.

Does it mean the PCI-Express slot?

By the way:

- The BIOS is the J06 version.
- The ILO is 2.77

¿And what does the other errors mean?

Hi,

The UMCE (Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception) are unrecoverable Hardware Errors that could be sometimes because of the Processor / Memory / PCI Devices.

Usually there would be fixes available either with the latest BIOS Firmware / Firmware and Driver of the particular I/O Device on which it is pointing to.

Here as we see the PCI Error which was followed by the UMCE it would be cos of that the PCI Device on that particular Location.

So updating the Firmware and compatible Driver would get this issue fixed.
