    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I would say there is something wrong with the other drive as well. Perhaps it is not failed, but may have enough errors on it that it won't allow the rebuild to proceed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>RAID array not rebuilding</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have an issue with a ProLiant ML330 G6 that is not rebuilding the raid array after inserting a new disk. I get the following error:&lt;BR /&gt;776 (Ready for Recovery) Logical Drive 1 (931.5 GB, RAID 1) is queued for rebuilding.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I updated the windows drivers for the B110i and rebooted but still the same issue remains.&lt;BR /&gt;I have also checked the other array disk (2 mirrored disks only in array) for errors but came back clean so shouldn't be preventing rebuild.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The system is running the following:&lt;BR /&gt;OS Name Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard&lt;BR /&gt;Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601&lt;BR /&gt;Other OS Description Not Available&lt;BR /&gt;OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation&lt;BR /&gt;System Manufacturer HP&lt;BR /&gt;System Model ProLiant ML330 G6&lt;BR /&gt;System Type x64-based PC&lt;BR /&gt;Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5506 @ 2.13GHz, 2133 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)&lt;BR /&gt;BIOS Version/Date HP W07, 01/12/2010&lt;BR /&gt;SMBIOS Version 2.7&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can't seem to download bios/firmware updates from anywhere. Raid says it is running ver. 1.46 on the B110i smart array card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've searched forums that say this needs to be updated for the raid to rebuild correctly, unfortunately can't find the downloads.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help appreciated. Many thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ok so attended site yesterday, launched rebuild process from bios using F1.&lt;BR /&gt;Checked on RAID card menu, both drives were in ok state and array/logical drive was in "Recovering" state.&lt;BR /&gt;Booted in to windows and the array said "rebuilding" with a little flashing disk icon (see attached screenshots).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked 4 hours later and the drive was still rebuilding. Great!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Go to bed happy. Snore zzzz. Wake up. Coffee.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check server.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Worst case scenario you are looking at full data loss off the disks and an unexpected downtime, this will occur when another drive fails.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My advice would be to plan a downtime and recreate the array. By doing this you avoid the unexpected downtime.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;As far as I understand RAID5, when your replace the failed drive,&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;it is automatically rebuilt&lt;/STRONG&gt;, from information stored on the other two. Whether you can 'hot-swap' the new drive into place does depend on you system - you may have to power down first.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.garagebandapp.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;GarageBand&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
