We have preinstalled firmware in ilo repository:

iLO5 2.44,
System bios - A43 - v2.42 (04/29/2021)
System Programmable Logic device version 19

We 'd like to update to the newest, how to understand for which os it was installed ( linux, os independant...) to download relevant sw?

Thank you for instructions, but i am new in HP HW and can make a mistake in my understanding a lot of information.

I have concrete question. These installed files:

ilo5_244.bin,

A43_2.42_04_29_2021.signed.flash

CPLD_DL325_DL345_Gen10PV2_V19_signed.vme

belongs to os independant?

And these files A43_2.54_11_25_2021.signed.flash or A43_2.54_12_03_2021.signed.flash (which one?) , ilo5_263.fwpkg

fits to upgrade?

and where to find the latest verions for

CPLD_DL325_DL345_Gen10PV2_V19_signed.vme ?

Hi,

Almost all firmware's are OS independent, only Drivers are OS dependent.

To update Firmware and Drivers, you can either download SPP which contains all drivers and firmware's OR you can download each Firmware and Driver individually from HPESC Portal.

Can i use iLO5 SUM inside server for installing this SPP?

I cannot use USB or other local activities. I have only remote connection.

You may refer to the Smart Update Manager User Guide and HPE iLO 5 User Guide for more information on performing the firmware update on the server remotely.
