HP DL380p GEN 8 Front Panel Light show error even if ILO shows everything ok

Hi Guys,

I recently bought for my company a refurbished HP DL380p GEN 8 .

When it came, it was working perfectly.

But ilo4 version was 1.22

Bios was from 2013

So i updated with the lastest firmware.

Since then i have an issue, kinda...because the server its working properly running esxi 6.5,.

Now the issue is that the Front Panel Light show error even if ILO shows everything is ok.

Nothing ..i cannot get rid of this.

Someone knows why?

So just, to answer a few questions.

Yes i check the ram. Even i take out that memory.

Yes i check the fan is spinning. I take out the fan. Same .

Yes i check the cpu, swith place with the first one, same.

Try to run again the SPP, just make sure you're using the latest one for Gen8 servers.

Maybe reseat the Front panel cable and while at it, clean it with "contact cleaner"

i will try the ssp. but the page with the cables is for dl380e. Mine is dl380p gen8.

Are the same cables?

I've never tried, but I think it should work. You may try to power it up from the iLO, either through CLI or a WEB session.
