    <description>&lt;P&gt;You can follow this steps to expand HDD raid 5 this way. First of all Right-click on the RAID 5 volume, select "Resize/Move".&lt;BR /&gt;Drag the RAID 5 right handle to add unallocated space into the volume and click "OK" to confirm.&amp;nbsp;Click the "Execute Operation" and click "Apply". May be this will work for you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have 5 X 600GB Raid 5 + Spare at HPE DL380&lt;BR /&gt;4 HDD Running 1 HDD Spare.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have new 3 HDD to expand raid 5.&lt;BR /&gt;If additional new 3 HDD&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;will result loss of existing data on raid 5?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TQ&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;Array expansion should not result in data loss. however it is recommend to have a valid backup before expansion for worst case scenario.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To expand the array you may refer to the below document &amp;amp; Smart Storage Administrator User guide&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=mmr_sf-EN_US000010855" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=mmr_sf-EN_US000010855&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
