Hello, I have an HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server.
With HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 Raid Controller
as well as 3 existing raid arrays.

The composition of which is as follows:

RAID 1: 2x300Go C:/
RAID 5: 3x600Go D:/
RAID 5: 3x300Go E:/

I just bought 3 600Go Disc

But I have no idea how to proceed my goal is to be in :

RAID 1: 2x300Go C:/
RAID 5: 4x600Go D:/
RAID 1: 2x600Go E:/

Of course all without losing my data

Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

Hello,

Please Note :
Expanding an array:-

You can increase the storage space on an array by adding physical drives. Any drive that you want to add
must meet the following criteria:

• It must be an unassigned drive.
• It must be of the same type as existing drives in the array (for example, SATA or SAS).
• It must have a capacity no less than the capacity of the smallest drive in the array

The above details were obtained from the following link.

HPE Smart Array SR Gen10 Configuration Guide (Page 77)

http://itdoc.hitachi.co.jp/manuals/ha8000v/hard/Gen10/SA/882375-002_en.pdf

Important :
Please keep data backup before doing this activity.

However in your case It is not recommended to perform the activity Online.
Since the Raid is configured with Low capacity Drives , hence even if you change the Drives , so according to RAID configured the new drives will only utilize the space/Size as per Configured RAID.

So it would be recommended :
> to delete the Array
> Add/ Install the new drives.
> Re- Create Raid and Array

Regards
HPE
