ESP120 Power unit

Hi All

I have an ESP120 power unit 48v 3000w which has failed and now gives around 6v. The fans are running along with the yellow fault light.

Would anyone have any suggestions on stock faults, circuit diagrams? etc.

I have electronic experience but not with switched mode units.

Based on the information provided, it sounds like there may be a fault with the internal power supply circuitry of the ESP120 power unit. It is difficult to determine the exact issue without further diagnostic testing or access to the circuit diagrams.

I would say input voltage: Ensure that the input voltage to the power unit is within the specified range of 48V. If the voltage is too low or too high, this could cause issues with the power supply.

And measure the output voltage of the power unit(If possible for you). If the output voltage is significantly lower than 48V, this could indicate a fault with the internal circuitry of the power unit.

Inspect the capacitors on the power supply board for any signs of physical damage or bulging. Faulty capacitors can cause voltage fluctuations and may be the cause of the issue.

Hi Vinky_99 thank you for replying.

I have visually inspected the boards and everything checks out with no indications of burning, popped capacitors etc.

The 5v line is fine but the 48v line is not giving any output. It seems quite a complex circuit so a diagram or guidance from someone with experience of this type of fault is essential. I dont want to poke around too much in case I do more damage.
