Hello,

we have installed sum.x86_64 (Version 11.1.0-9.rhel9) from the HPE-SDR-Repo (http://downloads.linux.hpe.com/repo/hpsum/RedHat/9/x86_64/current) on a Linux-VM (Oracle Linux 9.5).

Afterwards we have downloaded Software-Packages from the HPE-Support-Site, for example:

- firmware-ilo5-3.10-1.1.x86_64_part1.compsig
- firmware-ilo5-3.10-1.1.x86_64_part2.compsig
- firmware-ilo5-3.10-1.1.x86_64.rpm

After adding an additional baseline, the packages are found but we get the error "Component not signed" und cannot deploy the packages.

We even downloaded the files again and also checked the sha-256-checksum-values - the files are okay.

The error seems to be present only for .rpm-packages, other packages (.fwpkg, .zip or .exe) are okay.

Does anybody have the same problem or (event better) a solution?

Greetings from germany

Martin

Hello @Harshitha_K ,

thank you very much, for the links:

SUM Troubleshooting Guide This guide mentiones to install a certificate on Windows. My system is running Oracle Linux 9 which installs a bunch of root-certificates by default. Despite I downloaded and installed the mentioned certificate but this did not change the situation.

post helped me to understand logging of sum and finally did the job: the package "tar" was missing, so smartupdate was not able to untar the build-in certificates on startup. I found this in the file "/var/tmp/sum/engine.log"

So the solution was:

stop the running smartupdate

Install the tar-package with "dnf install tar"

clean the cache with "/opt/sum/bin/clean-cache.sh"

restart smartupdate

re-add all/the Baseline

Pershaps HPE should specify this dependency in the installation guide... <LI-EMOJI id="lia_winking-face" title=":zwinkerndes_Gesicht:"></LI-EMOJI>

Regards
