ILO 5 send alerts mails

Hello everyone,

I have a problem when I want configure SMTP server in ILO 5. This server is in other networking but I open the ports on the firewall for this.

I'm using port 587, when I check log events I see all the time the same error "AlertMail connection rejected".

My configuration: (all the emails and domain are private)

Alerts Mail Settings:

Recipient email address:

xxxx@fsdfs.sss

Sender email address:

xxxx@ffff.ooo

SMTP Port:

587

SMTP Server:

kkkk.asds.sdadsa

Enable SMTP Secure Conecction (SSL/TTL) - CHECK

Enable SMTP Authentication - NOT CHECKS

SMTP Username - www@www.ccc

I hope you followed the correct procedure to configure alert email.
Also please update the iL:O firmware to the latest and configure the Alertmail.

Thank you for this. Once I updated the ILO 5 and configured the alerts I was able to get it working. Thank you for the clean, concise links and directions.
