    <description>This error is generated when the manufacturing self test is run and&lt;BR /&gt;there is not a loop back on the datacomm ports.  The test is started by&lt;BR /&gt;pressing "ctrl" "l shift" "r shift" "return" all at the same time. These&lt;BR /&gt;terminals can also "jump" into this test without actually pressing the&lt;BR /&gt;key sequence.  The only way to clear the error and return to normal&lt;BR /&gt;operation is to turn the terminal off, press and hold down the "D" key,&lt;BR /&gt;and turn the terminal back on while holding the "D" key down for about&lt;BR /&gt;10 seconds.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you can't solve it with a terminal reset... kiss the box good bye</description>

      <title>700/92 selftest error message</title>

      <description>I have a hp 700/92 terminal , today it selftest can't pass , display : PORT 1  ERROR #1       PRESS RETURN TO clear .if press RETURN , the terminal re-test and repeat this message . so I remove all connectors except Keyboard . but result is same .if it means this terminal should be scrapped ? &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>If you have the unit under a service agreement, then get it repaired.&lt;BR /&gt;If not, it may cost too much and be cheaper to trash it.&lt;BR /&gt;Before going to that length, try seeing if you can set the terminal to use port2 to use that.It is a long time since I worked on one of these.&lt;BR /&gt;HTH</description>

      <description>it can work now ,communication and display all normal . but if testing , errors message still displayed .any way, thanks for you help .</description>
