    <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;what is the different between this 2 setting?&lt;BR /&gt;How do I know which one is my environment.&lt;BR /&gt;I have db1 and db2 server share same external raw disk for the storage. But each server has it own OS and hard disk.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Fauliah,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not sure if this is the correct forum for your question, in which is not very details for us to address your questions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now if you're referring to Oracle's Shared or Dedicated server mode, then its defined in tnsname.ora defintions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're referring to how your external storage array is configured for your DB servers, it will depend very much on the Storage sub-system and managment application for it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jov</description>
