I cant upgrade to 2.0 directly

on the link above You can read:
Notes

Firmware versions 1.03 and before must be upgraded to 1.04 before upgrading to 1.07, 1.09 or 2.00. See Softpaq SP18015.
Note: Explanation of the PREVIOUS 1.07 firmware located in SP21809. FW 1.07 must be used with 1.04 and later. If a UPS has 1.03 or earlier the UPS must be upgraded to 1.04 before upgrading to 1.07. See Softpaq SP18015 and SP21809.

Did you follow the on-screen message carefully? such as "close the flash program then wait for the UPS completely reboots before continue eeupdate?

Here I insert the message again:

"You are about to upgrade your UPS firmware to the version V1.04
The flash program will flash your UPS through the Communication Port.
When the flash program finishes upgrading your UPS firmware, It will send a reset command to reboot your UPS. Disregard the error message "error sending f_reset algorithm" at the end of the flash program.
Close the flash program window. This is a very important step, otherwise, the following EE update program will not run.

Wait until your UPS completes the reboot, then hit any key to continue the second part of this upgrade - to launch the EE Update program.

Click the Port button to set up comm port and baud rate to 19200.
Click the Connect button to connect to your UPS.
Click the Update button update EE configuration of your UPS.
Select the 290-Cpq104LV.pp file for Low Volt model UPS (100-127vac)
Select the 290-Cpq104HV.pp file for High Volt model UPS (200-240vac)
After EE Update is finished, close the EE Update program window.
Turn off the UPS and wait 30 seconds after it completely shuts down, turn the UPS back on to complete this upgrade"
>Did you follow the on-screen message carefully? such as "close the flash program >then wait for the UPS completely reboots before continue eeupdate?

I think - yes.

At the moment I try to connect using eeupdate

After I flashed sucessfully firmware, I try only update eeprom using "ee update". I repeat steps:
- power off ups
- disconect power cord from 220V
- wait few seconds
- conenct power cord
- power on ups
- launch the EE Update program, Click the Port button to set up comm port and baud rate to 19200. Click the Connect button to connect to your UPS.

but every time I got "13 Type mismatch 9 NO UPS found" or "NO UPS found"

Do I must every time repeat whole procedure (flash and eeprom update)?

With regards
Slawek

Slawek,

-Wait long enough for UPS reboot and ready before hit a key to run the second step (Update EEROM)

-Make sure you select the high voltage file:
"Select the 290-Cpq104HV.pp file for High Volt model UPS (200-240vac)" because your UPS use 200V

Brian

I have finally found the solution - it has nothing to do with the UPS, it's an error in the program, most notably in the floating point representation. On the computers with the regional settings other than US/English or another one that uses a comma as floating point, the program will simply throw an exception of type mismatch. It's a type of an argument having dot instead of comma. So changing the Windows regional settings has helped.

Thank you for all your hints, however.
