topic HP UPS Management Module - Installation in Servers - General

Hello,
I have installed the new HP UPS Management Module ( http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/power-protection/software/module/ups/sup_hardware.html
) in an UPS R5500. Now the Module lost its Network connection and i have ordered a new one. But now my question is if i could replace the old card on the fly with the new one. It means the connected Servers should not lose their connection to the voltage and not shutdown is this possible or must i shutdown everything before i could change the card?

Yes. It can be hot-plugged without shutdown the server nor UPS. Restore all old settings for the module then restart service of the remote agent on your servers.

Brian
