      <description>Miguel,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes - Cat 6 cables are backwards compatable with Cat 5 and 5e (as well as Cat 3).  Each newer version provides cleaner signals (less crosstalk).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any new cable installations should use Cat 6 even if they currently have no equipment that requires it - that is if you want to "future-proof" the installation. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;All that being said, I doubt if your current KVM switches will be in use by the time KVM's require Cat 6, but it won't hurt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Allan in Atlanta&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
