    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can try this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Situation/Action: Password is set and then lost. To resolve this issue, have the user complete the following steps:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   1. Connect to the console serial switch.&lt;BR /&gt;   2. Enter 5 on the main menu to restore the factory defaults, which includes resetting to the original User Name and Password (Admin/blank).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt; I have 2 older ip console switches a 1x1x16 and a 3x1x16. These were installed some time ago and the admin name and password have been lost. Is there a mechanism whereby i can reset to factory default (admin/blank) via serial cable.&lt;BR /&gt;regards</description>
