Loss of keyboard function

When switching between machines using the KVM 1x 8 port (400337-001) the keyboard is lost, although display & mouse are OK. Is this a common fault & is there a know fix for this please?

A lot depends on which keyboard you're using. Some customers have reported that off-brand keyboards have caused similar problems. 2 suggestions - try another keyboard - and try a different port.

Depending on the KVM vendor you may have to disable the hot plug keyboard option using the System Configuration Utility in Advanced mode. I had to do this with almost all my servers because we are using BlackBox KVMs.
