Hello,

I am completly new to severs so I don't know much.

Is it possible to have multiple things on a server such as a game server and a website?

Could I use windows 8 as an operating system or does it not work like that?

And how does the ip address work?

Yes, depending on how fast and powerful it is. And the speed of storage and your network connection.

Servers typically use Linux or Windows Server versions. Windows 8 is a unsupported PC OS.

Same as with PCs. Unless you plan to put lots of servers on your subnet.
