topic HP Power Protector – New version missing device scan options in Servers - General

Hi,

I have a HP UPS. I’ve installed UPS software ‘HP Power Protector Version 1.05.058’. Once I’ve logged into the software as admin I’ve found under Settings > Device Discovery, options ‘Range scan’ and ‘Address scan’ are missing. I only have an option to run ‘Quick scan’ but this doesn’t find my UPS.

I have access to older version of HP Power Protector (Version 1.02). In this version both ‘Range scan’ and ‘Address scan’ work fine. See attached screenshot.

Does anybody know why ‘Range scan’ and ‘Address scan’ are missing for the new version? I really need to get new version working to be fully compatible with operating system I'm going to use.

I've managed to figure out what I was doing wrong.

First time you log into HP Power Protector software you're given an option of configuring software as admin or client. I had been choosing admin but needed to select client to fix my issue.
