https://community.hpe.com/t5/networking/server-2008-with-nc6136/m-p/4240470#M1720 Hello,<BR />we have tested a MS Server 2008 x86 install on an HP ProLiant ML370 G3.<BR />We installed the "ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows Server 2008". <BR />After installing the Drivers, the <BR />NIC NC6136 was well known by the OS, but the NIC doesn't start. The error-message in the event-log was: "error 4 from N1000x8"<BR />"HP NC6136 Gigabit Server Adapter : PROBLEM: Could not find a HP/1000 NIC. ACTION: Reinstall driver." By checking the driver with the device-manager, all looks well.<BR />We change the NIC with another NC6136 in another Slot, but it doesn't work too.<BR />The HP Driver for this NIC ist designed for Server 2008!<BR />Can please any one help me with the problem?
