Application Storage Manager (CDO problem)

I am receiving the following error attempting to run the 'Host an Exchange Storage Group Wizard'.

"Could not communicate with the Exchange Agent on . Please check that the
Application Storage Manager Agent software is properly installed on .

Error Details:
Failed to populate storage groups: Failed populating storage groups: DIscovery of
storage groups failed: Error retrieving Exchange storage group. CDOEXM is not
supported on Recovery objects.

Can someone help with this error ?

Based on the error condition encountered, it appears that the ASM agent on the Exchange server is not installed, or did not install correctly.
Please verify that the agent is properly installed and running on the Exchange server.
We would also suspect that there is a name resolution issue. Make sure that both servers have DNS configured properly, and that each server can resolve each other's names.
