Have you verified your zoning is correct? If so then chances are you aren't patched to the prereq for SecurePath. See the attached.

Nathan

Hi

We have a EVA 5000 with two rp4440 servers running HP-UX 11.11, and secure path &MCSG

I presented vdisk to these servers, in one server ioscan detected the device and through insf i installed the driver also. Every thing works fine in this server.

But the other one in the SG is not showing the disk with ioscan. For importing the VG this is required.

Can any one help in sorting out this problem.

Sujeesh

1) Get the WWLUNID from command view of the vdisk that was presented to your systems.
2) Run a spmgr display > spmgr.out file and find the WWLUNID from there & that is your disk.

Sometimes I have had to run more then one ioscan and insf on the system.

You might check to make sure that the vdisk has luns that are assigned to both of your systems.

As the previous thread had mentioned, it might be something with your zoning on your brocade as well. Especially if this is the 1st time that any storage was allocated to the server.

Best of luck.

I always always bounce the HPUX server after the first presntation and before Secure Path is installed then again after Sec Path. On some cases the LUN doesnt show up otherwise.

But do you see the HSV at all?
"ioscan â funCdisk | grep HSV110"

That should tell you somenthing.

Hi,

There two possibilities

A) zoning is not correct on your switches
B) The present to your hosts is not correct.
Did you double check the WWN off your fiber cards?
