I have a demo EVA 5000 with VCS 3.028 and I installed a generic windows 2003 server to run commnd view EVA 5. I can configure a vdisk and present it the my host (2003 SP1 + CVEVA 5) but on my host I can't see the vdisk. I updated all the FW and drivers to the latest verion on de HP website. And installed MPIO. Also on the switches I cleared all the zoning.
Anyone any ideas??

Pol:

Did you try an earlier driver? I have recently had problems "seeing" vdisks with the current up to date drivers, 9.2.x.x... and had to go back to the 9.0.2.xx driver.

CV 5 see's the EVA with no problem, but not vdisks. Not sure why with the newer drivers this happens, or has happened to me... but I worked around with an earlier driver.

Steven

Yes. The driver, for some reason, does not pick up the vdisks. I dropped to the earlier driver and BAM, there they were.

Still working on the issue for 2 customers, but the driver was the only thing changed.

Steven
