We have a Windows 2000 server with Command View and I see 16 HSV210 controllers for the 2 EVA8000's.

They all have a ? by them and they all state that either no driver is required or is not installed - we can manage both EVA's OK.

As suggested I would check the Support Matrix to ensure all hardware is supported and drivers and firmware are at the required levels.

If you have dual fc cards in the server you will want to install the multipath software. http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-002&h_lang=en&h_cc=us&h_product=421491&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_page=hpcom〈=en&cc=us

You will also need to install the hp_cpq_router_6.inf.inf This will clear the ? and set the driver. I don't think you can download the driver, but it should be on your CV media. You can also get it from HP Support even if you are not under warranty or support.

I can't see my EVA12000 on a server until I load the driver (the router inf). If you see lots of extra drives once it is loaded then you need to install the multipath software.

If you just update the HBA drivers using the HBA update package that you can download from HP, it will also install the other "dummy" drivers that are needed to get around the no drivers found for the EVA controllers.
