    <description>Yes.  There is a lot to be gained by going to multibus failover and making your servers multibus enabled (installing Secure Path).&lt;BR /&gt;In short, transparent failover protects only against a controller failure, not a link failure (FC cables and switches).  With multibus failover, a fibre channel cable can fail, and if an alternate path to storage is available, Secure Path will use that path instead.  In transparant failover, disk access would be lost.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Stan</description>

      <description>Is there much gain in using secure path with single HBA tied servers ? How about switching the MA8000 array from Transparent Failover to Multibus failover in the "same" configuration ? I did see a document on the HP/Compaq site once discussing the single HBA issues and secure path but can not locate the pointer now..Any advice appreciated.</description>
