topic MSA1000 Controller architecture in HPE EVA Storage

Hi all,

I found that the controllers of MSA1000 are actually Active/Passive , not A/A . Is that truth ?

If so , how Securepath work when switch or controller failed ? Will Securepath simply alternate the path , or be able to switch over the controller ?

Thanks a lot

You are correct - they are active/passive.

SecurePath will cause the redundant controller to become active if it loses contact with the primary controller - so yes, it will switch over the controllers.

-Vince
