Looks normal. Securepath does not "hide" anything.

From the release notes:

"Secure Path for Active-Active disk arrays uses the physical paths to an end device. HP-UX sees the alternate paths as actual device files. You can view and access these paths."

Hello all,
This is the scenario.
EVA 4000 XCS6100
BL860c with HP-UX 11.23 Enterprise Edition.
Secure Path 3.0F (Active Active)
4 FC adapters on 2 dual mezzanine cards.
Blade Chassis with FC virtual connect.
Connection from Virtual connect switches to EVA fabric switches.

the problem is the following, I installed the OS and secure path, but I'm still seeing 4 disk drives presented from the EVA. I use the autopath tool and I can see that there's 4 different routes to the LUN, but I'm still seeing the LUN 4 times.
I have already tried to change the preferred path and load balancing mode, but everything remains the same.

on the attached file is the output for the "autopath display" command and "ioscan" for disks and FC cards.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks Torsten,
So, can I use any of those device paths to create a Volume Group and a new File System? I want to be able to failover to any of the 3 alternative paths in case of a path failure.

thanks for your help,

I never worked with this, but if I read the manual I'm sure you should set up the VG as normal (vgcreate with one path and add the other pathes with vgextend = pvlinks). Securepath will "only" change the behaviour in terms of load balancing and failover.
