Hi team i am getting following error and my cluster node getting hangs because of this , here we are using windows 2003 cluster with latest service pack SP2

no polyserve implemented its normal microsoft sql cluster ,,, i am getting this error in lots of place .i contacted hp support also, but solution not yet provided

What storage system are you connecting to ?

eva 4100 with all recommended patchlevel ,,,i am using sql cluster some time sqlcluster disks fails with this error ,,,i dont why its coming and hp support team also not solved that

Hi,
I am sending you 2 notes to this issue
1. MPIO is using the SCSI-3 commands and the MSCS uses SCSI-2 commands. There is a patch to that. But it is probable it was included in the SP2. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911030/en-us)

2. the cause of the SCSI resets can be any other HW (library) or software like Storage essentials, etc. If it is the library, you can add it to the zone separately and if its the Storage essentials, it has to patched

Hi,
one other thing is that if you have the EVA 4100 firmware 6100/6110, pls go to the SPOCK http://spock.corp.hp.com/streams/index.aspx?ArrayID=40
and check if you are ok in all the SAN related drivers and BIOS (firmware, driver, MPIO, diskIO timeout) values.

Hi Lark,
maybe the best way is to send me the used HBA BIOSes/firmwares/drivers/MPIO and I can check at least if they are supported with the 6110 firmare of the EVA 4100

Hello team here with i am attaching the system hps report and also hp confirmed that all patchlevels are in recommened state ...in qlogic forums i can see this error but i didnt find any solutions
