      <description>hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We have a msa 1000 with 2 Lun's&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;7 Data Disk(s) used by lun 0:&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk101: Box 1, Bay 01,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk102: Box 1, Bay 02,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk103: Box 1, Bay 03,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk104: Box 1, Bay 04,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk108: Box 1, Bay 08,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk109: Box 1, Bay 09,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk110: Box 1, Bay 10,&lt;BR /&gt;spare disk : Disk111: Box 1, Bay 11,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4 Data Disk(s) used by lun 1:&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk105: Box 1, Bay 05,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk106: Box 1, Bay 06,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk112: Box 1, Bay 12,&lt;BR /&gt;   Disk113: Box 1, Bay 13,&lt;BR /&gt;no spare disks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when we buy the msa we have 12 disks. now we have buy 2 another.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;my question is how extend lun 0 with the 2 new disks?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thank you for help&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You will need to make sure that the new disk drives that are being added to lun0 are the same size as the disk drives that are already being used in lun0.  Then simply add them physically into the drive enclosure, add them to lun0 by using the Array Configuration Utility (ACU) and then once the lun0 expansion has completed (usually takes about 15 minutes per GB of disk drive space on the lun) use the utility appropriate for the particular OS that is using the lun to expand the lun on the OS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Phil</description>
