Hi.

You can also use SAN based replication betwen two sites like Falconstor IPStor.

Regards
Simon

Hi,
if you have the XP24000 on site too, then the CA synchronous mirror CA can be done via the XP external storage virtualization:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/extstxp/

shortly: both EVA4000 must be connected as the external storages to both XP24000 and then they will be virtualized and CA synchronized via the XP24000 as if they are the XP LDEVs.

I will suggest to go for a host based replication software (like Softek TDMF) and sync 2 volumes using ASYNC method.

If you use EVA as an external storage to XP, you will not be able to access the EVA storage once XP shuts down, which doesn't serve the DR purpose.

Hi
Thanks for your advices.
I know, if EVA is connected as the external Storage, i can use BC to sync Database.
however, i want sync at realtime with different location.
Thank you very much

****may be its too late for this post ****

We use recoverpoint from EMC which enables SAN level replication instead of disk level hence we replicate IBM,HP, EMC from our primary DC to XP 24000 at the DR site.

Also now Cisco has come up with the SAN level replication, too

Hope this helps
