Dear All,

I have a RSM script which takes a snapshot of a SAN volume and creates a disk device on my windows 2003 backup server. The script used to work but it stopped.

I validate the mount host, storageVolume and SnapshotStorageVolume. This is all working.

Next I take the snapshot but if I then like to createDiskDevice on the backup server I get the error 'No presentation target found for Enabled host '

I hope this is enough information to help me.

Many thanks in advance,

With kind regards,

Pilaar

here are some furthere tips :
a)check the log
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\RSMHostSW\RSMHA\logs

b) maybe it is the problem that the RSM cannot recognize the HBA
(this is applicable for the RSM 2.x, RSM 3.0):
in that case reinstall the HBA API library
http://www.emulex.com/support/windows/tools/windows_tools.html

(The RSM host agent for the RSM 2.x, 3.0 could require the Emulex HBA API to internally utilize host adapter information

Hi, I ran into a similar problem recently. We were updating the Qlogic driver (found on HP website) to a newer version (9.1.7.17) and RSM stopped working giving me the same error message "No
presentation target found for enabled host". When I go to Enabled Hosts and look at the server properties, under the HBA/Ports section, it can't read the WWN and the type of HBA etc.
I ended up going back to the old driver (9.1.018)

RSM version 3.0.233

Server: Windows Server 2003 SP2
Proliant DL360 G4p
QLA2340 Current HBA Driver: 9.1.0.18(w32) HBA Firmware 3.03.25 Option ROM 1.45

Any idea what I need to do? Upgrade/reinstall RSM etc? Thanks!
