2/8v San Switch Firmware Upgrade

We have a 2/8v San switch connected to EVA 3000 with VCS 3010.
San Switch firmware - v4.4.0b. We are planing to upgrade the frmware for this switch to the latest version Ver 5.3.1b. Can i upgrade the firmware directly from ver v4.4.0b to v5.3.1b ??

No. You must go through the intermediate firmware to get up to v5.3.1.b

Will you pls let me know which formware i have to update before going to 5.1b ???
If you have the firmware upgrade path will be more helpfull...

I have seen in the website.. the firmware download given diffreent for unix and windows.. what is the difference of these files ??

Brocade allows 4.x or 5.x updates by two revisions. So if you are at 5.0.x for instance, you can go to 5.2.x but not directly to 5.3.x

So 4.4.x can be upgraded to 5.1.x (any version). Then from 5.1 you can get directly to 5.3.

Hi,
the EVA VCS3010 is criticaly old firmware as well. It seems that your environment needs more complex upgrade
