I have attached an MSA1500cs LUN to a Windows 2003 server via fibre. I can access the LUNs from within Windows, but the Device Manager is showing the MSA as an unknown device as shown in the subject line of this post.
Is there a driver I can install or some other procedure I can follow to identifiy this device properly? On other servers using the same storage, the device reads as "StorageWorks MSA1000/1500".

I'm not sure what you mean by service pack. We are up to date with Microsoft updates, and Windows Server 2003 service packs.

I installed the 8.30 PSP and rebooted. The issue remains.

Anyone else with any ideas?

Hi Jason

You will need to apply the HP MPIO drivers to your server.

Assuming you have version 7 Active/Active firmware, you will need the Full Featured DSM for MSA 1000/1500 version 3

Regards
Brett

The best way to find the software is to go to www.hp.com and click on Support & Drivers

Search for HP MPIO DSM and you will be able to choose the correct OS and version for your configuration

Regards
Brett
