Make sure that you should not have the service pack installed so you are at securepath 4.0b.
This reply is more for your information than to help :
I have used the vr 4.0 software on our HSG80 running w2003 Ent server,We were looking at it for cluster disk growth and snapshot capabilities, after running with the product we dropped it after it did not work properly in any shape or form, we did not get blue screen of death but very bad results.

When installing Virtual Replicator 4.0 on a Windows Server 2003 machine I am getting a bluescreen referencing HPQVRBUS.SYS and 0X0000007E. This occurs after rebooting from the VR4 install. This server has the patched Securepath 4.0 installed. All drivers and firmware are the latest for the MSA1000 and HBA's. We have done 2 clean installs and have had the same result. Any help regarding this issue would be appreciated.

We patched the SecurePath to 4.0c. Are you saying it should be a previous version and not the newest?
