The oldest version available independently is Command View EVA 3.1, but it's not compatible with VCS 2.xxx. You need the storage management appliance to start. So get the restore CD and perform a restore.

Then perform a complex upgrade path, upgrading CV versions and firmware slowly, until you reach VCS 3.110 and CV 9.2.

Some links:

Firmware 3.010
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software3/COL6730/co-20312-1/EVA_3000_V3010.zip

Firmware 3.014
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL9298/co-25172-1/EVA_3000_V3014.zip

Firmware 3.028
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software9/COL11348/co-33572-2/EVA3000_VCS_3028.zip

Firmware 3.110
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software8/COL19159/co-49829-1/EVA_GL_CONTROLLER_FIRMWARE_v3110.zip

Command View 3.1:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL10380/co-29799-1/CMDVW31A.zip

Update to 3.3:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL9483/co-25698-1/CMDVIEW_EVA_V33_WIN2003.zip

Command View 5.0:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software7/COL13874/co-39048-1/Command_View_EVA_V5_0.zip

Command View 6.0:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software7/COL16255/co-43018-1/CVEVA.zip

Command View 9.2:
http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=CommandViewEVA9.2
Hi,

I'll guess that you've got a version of Command View EVA that doesn't know how to talk to VCS 2006.

You'll probably find some useful info in my old thread here (towards the bottom):

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1113007

You need to be running CV EVA 3.1 to talk to VCS 2.00x. I don't recall what version gets installed when you restore the SMA.

Good luck,

Rob

One thing that might work, since you have the Restore CD is to rebuild the server from scratch. I know it might take a while, but in the long run should work better for you.

Hi,

What version of Command View EVA do you now have installed ?

If you've reinstalled the SMA with the restore CD, then it's likely that you will need to install a later version to get to one that is compatible with VCS 2.006. I think the SMA started on CV EVA 3.0a

Try upgrading to CV EVA 3.1.

Cheers,

Rob
