Dear All,

We have EVA 8000 2C2D. One of the Controller failed. This is not in warranty, we are planning to take Warranty now. Before that we want to resolve the controller issue. Is there a way to find the Controller part number without removing the controller.

EVA model is 8000 2C2D
Product Number - AD519B
Hi Murali,

When I search in Part Surfer by putting the serial number of the EVA, I can find the following part numbers on the Part surfer.

390856-001 HSV200 2GB Fiber Channel (FC) drive controller - 6-port Original

390856-005 HSV200-A 4GB Fiber Channel (FC) drive controller - 6-port capacity

390858-001 Conductive Lithographic Film (CLF) controller - 6-port Original

Which one I have to select on the this.

Hi Simson,

From the output that you have got, you need to select the one that matches
your controller type.
i.e. select one based on whether your controller is 2GB FC or 4GB FC or
Conductive Lithographic Film (CLF) controller

Regards,
Murali

Something is not right - an EVA8000 uses HSV210-type controller modules, not HSV200.
Maybe you can ask your future warranty provider to help you get the correct replacement part.

Really confusing the partsurfer output... But let's see:

The product number tells us it's an:

HP STORAGEWORKS EVA8000 2C2D-A 50HZ 42U

So it uses HSV210-A = 390855-005 controllers.

I meant, Controller Serial Number, not the EVA Serial Number. Controller Serial Number available in Controller Properties page of Command View EVA.
