XCS 6000 has been out of support since December 31, 2007. The last one is 6220. The upgrade is direct and online.

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T4256-63122

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01731769

http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02104123/c02104123.pdf

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01721444/c01721444.pdf

It would be a good idea to update disk firmware too:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL17475/co-71198-1/HDDBundled_Image_2009_05_12.zip

And Command View to lastest version:

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=CommandViewEVA9.2

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02033578

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02010621/c02010621.pdf

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02010625/c02010625.pdf

But first you have to update your SAN and servers. Look that in the SPOCK web site:

http://h20272.www2.hp.com/

Select "View by Array/OS" and select EVA6000 and Windows 2003 on the table.
