More EVA capacity

I would like to increase my EVA 4400 capacity from 2 TB to 4 TB,,,,,,
I know that I need to increase License,but what about purchase details
I mean if i need 4 TB that means i should purchase 8 TB (4 for Real + 4 for Backup)
Am I right

Hi Subash,

Licenses are based on terabytes (TB) of raw EVA storage capacity and must be assigned on a per individual EVA basis.

In your Case ,Go for unlimited Capacity License because there are two type of license one is 1TB and 2nd is Unlimited and its recommended instance of 4x1TB, go for unlimited.

OK,but if I need my storage to be 4TB should I buy HD for 8 TB is that right????

The licenses are for RAW capacity.

If you create all vdisks in RAID 1, then you need twice the usable capacity.

Right now you have 2 TB. You want to have 4 TB. Then you must add 2 TB more.

2 TB if you talk about raw capacity
4 TB if you talk about usable capacity
