Cannot ping controller on 2312fc

Hi
I currently cannot get a ping response or his them through a browser from either management controllers on my SAN, although the VMs stored on them are accessible. I have hyperterminaled in to check the network parameter settings and all is as is should be. Any suggestions?

Hi Stuart,

I had this happen to me with my MSA2324fc. Solution HP support gave me was to reseat one of the controllers in the MSA. Give it a little time to boot then attempt to connect again to the controller you reseated. You would then will either be able to restart the management on the other controller or will have to reseat the other controller as well.

Of course this is assuming you are running duel controllers.

What firmware version are you running?

Heya, if you can access it via hyperterminal, maybe "restart mc" works from there to restart the management controller?

Do you have link on the NIC/switch port?

Also remembered.. are you having the problem with both management interfaces? No link? No duplicate IP or anything like that going on?

Thanks for the ideas, in the end a simple restart on each mc has sorted the issue out
