i have a MSA 2000 with dual SAS modules on the back. I have cabled the msa 2000 to only one of my servers running server 2003. I configured the msa the way it said in the documents. i created a vdisk, then a volume and assigned the hosts. the volumes will not come up on the server. when i use ACU to check if anything is attached it doesnt show anything. i have a tape drive that that connects to the P800 and it shows up but not the MSA 2000. So this leads me to think i have done something wrong.

cheers for any help

The P800 is not supported for connection to the MSA2000. You need the sc08Ge SAS HBA, partnr. : 488765-B21. The MSA2000 doesn't use ACU or any of the Smart Array utilities, it is a totally different beast, with its own tools and HBA's. I have attache the specs of the sc08Ge HBA for your info.
