    <description>As leif has already mentioned. They are the same product.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am studying for the Windoze exam at present. The notes still refers to HP Omniback in many different places.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You are able to backup all your kinky Unix systems using tar and cpio.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's ideal for HP SAN.       <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;HP changed product from OmniBack to DataProtector in version 5.0 (the last version with OmniBack name was 4.1). It is still the same product (of course with some enhancements in 5.0). All OmniBack licenses remains walid in DataProtector, media is backwards compatible etc..</description>
