hello, I need to know how of some tool to obtain the version of firmware of cards HBA of a server ML530 connected to a EVa 3000.

Depending on your card manufacturer...

You can use LPUtilnt or HBAnywhere(Emulex Based)...

If you have an Emulex card LP8000, LP902 LP9802, FCA2101, FCA240x... you may already have lputilnt.exe on your system. It usually comes with the driver.

If you have aqlogic card... FCA2214, FCA2210 or similar, grab SANSurfer.

If you do not know which kind of card you have, one easy way to know is to check out your Name Server on one of your SAN Switches. If the WWPN of the host starts with 1000, then it is emulex. If it starts with 2100, it is qlogic.

You can see this info from your SAN Appliance as well since you have a host definition on the EVA for the NAS. In Command View EVA, in the hosts folder, click the NAS host and there is a ports tab which tells you the World Wide Port Name(s) associated with the NAS.

If you still have problems finding the type of cards, just download both programs. One of them will work while the other... well... probably won't.
