What drivers are needed to attach EMC Clarion SAN.

We are planning to prestent storage from an EMC Clarion SAN to our ES80 running OpenVMS 7.3-2. Will I need a special driver? Is it even possible?...(please say yes, or these HP systems go out the door as well as my job). I need to present a plan to our SAN Admin. person. I was unable to find anything related on your web site. Any and all info. is appreciated.

Hi,

Hardware/OS support information would be provided by the storage vendor.
I checked EMC's Support Matrix (you can download the PDF)
http://www.emc.com/interoperability/index.jsp

and OpenVMS is not listed as a supported OS for Clariions. It's supported with some Symmetrix systems, but that does not really help you.

Maybe Uwe could provide more info if he's around. He's the VMS and Storage guru around here.

Hi, we have OpenVMS 7.3-2. We bought a EMC SAN last year, and we had to go with Symmetrix line, because the Clariion would not support OpenVMS. Sorry.

VMS is not supported in any way on EMC's Clarion products.
