We have 2 of StorageWorks SAN switch 4/32. Both of which have one of the ports with status port_flt and is not disabled for use.

Previus we had reduntly connected a server on to both server at these ports and they worked fine for a few days. We then lost connectivity probly due to excessive errors broadcasted. now we have a different server that we want to connect at these two ports.

Does anybody know how to reset these ports to a usable state?

I havent found the info for a switch, but if this status needs to be reset on a director blade you need to power off/on the respective blade.
I assume you will need to power off/on your switches in a maintenance window!

Cheers
Peter

In the past I have managed to get the port going again with:

> portDisable #
- wait a bit
> portEnable #
