Checklist or procedure for implementing / upgrading SAN ?

We are going to upgrade our existing SAN to a new one. We have to prepare a detailed implementation plan.

Is there any idea where can I find a SAN upgrade / implementation?

What sort of SAN are you upgrading to ?

The steps that you will follow could vary greatly depending on the hardware you're looking at using.

Thank you for your advice.

The SAN Designer tools is quite useful. However, in our case, we would like to know the steps like - Remove HBA from the existing hosts, connect new HBA to the new switch, data migration of data from existing to new Storage Array ....
